Scotland – Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park

After our adventures on Snowdon in North Wales, our travels ventured further north…

29th March 2015
This morning we woke surprisingly late at 10am and after sorting the car out, finally got on the road again to head north to Scotland. After cruising along the motorway we eventually made it through Glasgow and entered the start of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.

As the clouds cleared the sun came out for the first time since crossing the Scottish border, we pulled over to the loch edge and saw the most beautiful bright rainbow appear.

As the day went on we explored more of Loch Lomond and the stunning scenery around.

We slowly travelled further north moving our way up along the A82 where the scenery was quite different but equally as stunning.

Rolling snow capped mountains and deep lochs surrounded by forests and moorlands, wild flowers and rivers. The scenery dotted with isolated cottages with stunning views across this breath taking landscape.

It’s such a beautiful drive and a serves as a very warm welcome to Scotland. The scenery takes your breath away!

Happy Travels,
